I was hired to take photos at Comic Con this year by a marketing solutions company out of New York City. Phase1 Marketing was hired by Ted Turner's online broadband gaming site, "Gametap" to help with it's online gaming promotions. Phase1's marketing strategy with Gametap had me meeting and taking photographs of various (mostly costumed) people at the event and then introducing them to Gametap by offering the subjects an invitation to come online to Gametap's site and download their images for free. Gametap afterwards, is then able to interact and stay connected with their new consumers in a large scale way even after Comic Con ends.
